This appliance makes a 1lb loaf - considered by many to be the perfect size - and does a fantastic job of developing gluten, so you could use the it just for mixing dough and then bake in your conventional oven. The machine can make dough for crisp pizza crust, hamburger or hoagie buns, light dinner rolls, delicious cinnamon rolls,rustic breads, sourdough, cakes and much more. Although this model is cheaper than the Zojirushi X20 (below) it shares the same high, domed interior, which prevents bread from sticking to the lid should your bread recipe rise a little too high. Also in common with the BBCCX20, there is a 10 minute "power interruption memory" so it will automatically continue with the cycle when the power is restored.
Another nice feature about the Zojirushi HAC10 is that you can open the lid to add extra ingredients without resetting the cycl,e as it keeps running with the lid open. There's also a 13 hour delay start so you can add the ingredients before you go to bed and wake up in the morning to the aroma of freshly baked bread.
Zojirushi BBCC-X20 Home Bakery Supreme Bread Machine
What people like most about the Zojirushi Home Bakery Supreme is that it makes a 2 lb, traditionally shaped, horizontal loaf. It comes with two kneading blades for superior mixing and consistent results. Like the BB-HAC10 above, there's no safety cut-off switch when you open the lid. This is good as it's important to be able to check on your dough during the kneading cycle. Another really nice feature is that this appliance now has Bake Protection: this prevents you from stopping the machine during the bake part of cycles.
